After more than 30 years since the first Ghostbusters came out, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the official third version of the original franchise. It follows the lives of the grandchildren of one of the original Ghostbusters who recently moved to a haunted house and simultaneously discovered the truth about their grandfather.

Follow the siblings around the town of Summerville as they chase down  Muncher, the ghost that’s terrorizing the neighborhood, and be captivated by every pixel displayed by the Formovie THEATER as director Jason Reitman blends animation and reality with stunning accuracy.

The Lost City (2022)

This is a movie about a book writer who seems to have lost her creative source of inspiration and is in danger of losing her career until she gets kidnapped alongside the male character her books are based on. It’s exciting to watch them try to become the characters in the book as they fight to stay alive. It’s rated PG-13, and it’s full of humor and action.

The Formovie THEATER has built-in Bowers & Wilkins speakers with Dolby ATMOS to bring out every sound detail in the movie and bring you closer to the action.

The Wine Country (2019)

This is the ideal choice if you just want to watch a light comedy while enjoying a nice glass of wine. It follows a group of women who go on a trip to Napa to celebrate their friend’s 50th birthday. It highlights the foundations of good friendships and what it means to have friendships that last for decades.

Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)

Ever wondered why Mario is always rescuing Princess Peach? The plot of the Super Mario Bros. Movie answers the question of whether you’ve always been a fan of the franchise or not. It’s one of those animated films that are written well enough to cater to kids and adults, mixing different levels of humor to keep everyone entertained.

The Nintendo graphics will come to life on the 4K UHD display of the Formovie THEATER, and it may even make you want to connect the gaming console and add that to your list of summer holiday activities. And if you do, the Formovie THEATER will deliver the same cinematic displays for games and movies alike.

While you’re at it, check out our list of the top games to play on your 4K UHD laser projector.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023)

It’s another action-packed remake of a classic, guaranteed to bring different generations of your family closer together. The four ninja brothers are still kicking butts and adding extra pepperoni to their pizza, and this time around the graphics are more reminiscent of the comic book version of the Ninja Turtles.

The NY Sewer that the boys call home will be brightly lit by the 1800 ISO lumens of the Formovie THEATER, so you won’t need to wait for the sun to go down to experience the New York City nightlife alongside our favorite mutant brothers.

Popular Series

The Last of Us (2023)

TV shows and movies that are based on video games are somewhat of a favorite for us at Formovie because they allow you to become both the observer and the main character of the story. Journey to the future and follow the main characters as they fight for their freedom by escaping a quarantined area in a post-apocalyptic world.

You can stream The Last of Us on HBO Max, one of the many streaming apps that are available on the Formovie THEATER.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022)

A ten-episode series that follows a street kid who decides to become an outlaw in a society that’s obsessed with technology and body modification. It has a cyberpunk aesthetic that anime fans will love, and it’s a viewing option that’ll let you fully experience the wide color gamut and vivid displays of the Formovie THEATER.

Create the Coolest Outdoor Theater This Summer

The first and most important thing you need for the ultimate home theater is a projector with 4K UHD resolution with enough ANSI lumens to deliver bright images, like the Formovie THEATER.

Like many of the best displays available on the market, the Formovie THEATER has a top-of-the-line 4K UHD resolution display that rivals even the best TV screens. It’s a laser projector that uses ALPD 4.0 technology to display ultra-bright and vivid images in cinematic resolution.

What makes the Formovie THEATER even more special is the fact that it’s the first ultra-short throw laser projector that supports both Dolby ATMOS and Dolby Vision, and with an adjustable screen size of up to 150-inches, it’s one of the biggest screens that support the Dolby Vision HDR format. So not only do you get an astounding display, the built-in Bowers & Wilkins speakers with Dolby ATMOS support deliver a spatial experience like no other.

The Formovie THEATER can deliver incredible displays without the support of Dolby Vision. The ALPD laser technology gives the projector the ability to display 102% of the Rec.2020 color gamut, plus it has a 3000:1 FOFO contrast ratio that allows it to achieve a wide range of color accuracy. Plus, unlike a regular projector, it can be enjoyed in brightly lit rooms or outdoors because it reaches peak brightness at 1800 ISO lumens.

Once you have the screen and projector set up, you can create a summer ambiance with string lights or lanterns, and add some comfortable seating with bean bags or cushions. Don’t forget that no great cinema experience is complete without popcorn and other movie snacks.

Whether you plan on spending the summer with friends and family or taking a solo stay-cation, Formovie can turn every day into a cinematic experience.
